Great for happy hour, Sunday Funday, and a quick bite. Fire pits in the booths is a nice touch. Music from speakers can be a little loud if you're on a date. Love this place when the weather is nice
Good place after work to just chill and read a book, surf the internet. At night the place gets packed, especially in the back patio, as they have a bar there as well. Great happy hour! :)
The place gives off a kind of grunge feeling-decorations on the walls are a bit odd-but the place is very lively and a great place to socialize. Get the "loving spoonful" as a drink and the pizza.
Since my last tip 3 years ago this place has gotten better. New (Reidel) wine glasses! Steak night Mondays. Half off wine Wednesdays. Live music. Weekend brunch.
Settle in on the leather chesterfield sofas amid the red interiors and enjoy the tip top assembly— multi-cultural, artsy and peppered with the occasional yuppie and fashionista. 😉
Great place. The cocktails are interesting and delicious! The french fries (I can't remember what they're called!) were so good! I'd definitely go back. Very chill atmosphere.
I always start with an Old June (half the usual sugar). Solid selection of wine , Vietnamese fries are delicious and atmosphere is artsyboho. Service generally sub par; bathrooms hit or miss
Positive vibes throughout. Such a great place for couples or those trying to become a couple. Seating/sofa/chairs arrangement made for intimate conversation.
Get the pork tamales if you see the guy there walking around. Same guy from Woodrow's Midtown. He'll try to sell you $10/dz here, but he only charges $8/dz at Woodrow's. He'll come down on price.
my friends took me here... it was nice and you have to play with the buttons in the restroom but it's very hipster meets Italy and I prefer something more Houston I guess
Great low-key & laid back place with all day happy hour prices on select drinks for under $5 on Sunday and Monday. Be sure to visit the bar on the patio for $1 wells on Mondays.
2010 Best of Houston® Winner: Best Happy Hour: Every Thurs, Spacetaker & Boheme invite different art groups to a happy hourevent, from 5-10 PM. There's always something eye-opening each week!
I'd call this bar decidedly "eh" both on atmosphere and drinks. The service was okay, and the old fashioned was serviceable. Otherwise, I'm not in a hurry to go back. & $1 wells are no longer a thing.
The drinks are a little overpriced and seating is very difficult to find if you come after 9 on the weekend. However their Vietnamese fries make it all okay.
Good wine selection, but food? Meh. Some expensivewine, but glasses suck! Don't pour expensivewine in cheap/thick glasses so they don't break in the dishwasher. The new Max's a block away is better.
Upscale bar and restaurant in Houston, TX located in the Montrose area that offers a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails with exceptionally good food
