Is matcha the next big thing in nyc? Then Chalait got it right. Serving counter culture coffee too along with selection of teas. Airy & light woody interior. Right off the Christopher street station.

winMarzo 9, 2015Matcha latte and cortado tasted very similar - both delicious not matcha-y enough. Banana bread moist with lots of walnuts. Be prepared to stand around on a Sunday aft, not enough seats.

Iced matcha latte is a refreshing option for the summer. Get it hot when the weather gets cold.
It confuses me that @ a cafe with 1st come 1st served seating, i'm told by the mgr to vacant the only two seats at the bar to make room for a party of four ... I guess we'll b taking our drinks to-go.
