What a wonderful place with a phenomenal vibe. I love Roscoe's a lot but the waffles here are enough to push this place maybe just ahead in my mind. Seasoning could compliment syrup more though.
Prices are a little bit high for what you get but easily one of the best eats off to the side of the Pier. I normally go for the coconut fried chicken but their rice and plantains are superb as well.
There is a second location a little further down the boardwalk, the prices are a bit cheaper there but they don't have seating. If doing take out worth the extra five minute walk.

a great dive off to the side of a busy shopping center. Has a great variety of dogs for pretty reasonable prices. A good complement to the chili dogs at Wedge Inn.
I'm always very partial to the hot oil pizza! Parking is deceptively limited so check what hours are enforced at the train station across the street.
a Los Angeles icon, you can see the giant donut from the plane when you land at LAX. Get a box of a dozen donuts and try a variety of them. A great pairing after stopping by Roscoe's.
A wonderful little indie theater with one huge screening room. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for free screenings and events. Fairly easy to attend pre-screenings due to size and location.
