The spring-fed pools on this easy hike really are a deep jewel green, thanks to moss and algae. Along the way, you'll pass through cool mists created by water tumbling over the canyon walls.
This is one of the park's most famous hanging gardens. The weeping is caused by a spring flowing out a seam where two layers of rock meet.
You can rent bikes here and pedal the Pa'rus Trail, starting at the Visitor Center and running along the river. You'll see some of the park's highest peaks.
This campground, as well as South Campground, offer RV parking, flush toilets, fire grates, picnic tales and river access. For reservations at either campground: recreation.gov or 877-444-6777.
If you want to stay right in the park, this place is great. The refurbished 1930s-era cabins include AC, showers, and gas fireplaces (nice for cool nights). There are motel rooms, too. 888-297-2757.
