Place to go if you are in Vienna - love the tourist and the fact that you pay the same at the big chain stores here

The Viennese City Park is around 65000 m. It has differente monuments, as the kurlason, a spa pavilion, the strauss monument Leer más.
For paintings, I enjoyed my visit to "Kunsthistorisches Museum"=lots of paintings from 15th century and later (even the building itself is quite impressive) - Karine (Belgium)
I recommend the tour through the opera - goes for about 45 minutes - thus doable. It's quite interesting to see the backstage area which is three times as large as the opera guest area...
IMHO a MUST visit every time I come. Cake excellent, Coffee excellent, and who cares about The money when you get that atmosphere?
Now a museum, this is the place where the composer lived for a couple of years. Located at the Old Town, and just a few minutes away from St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Simply a must on a beautiful spring/summer day for visitors aswell as locals! Best beer in Vienna and delicious food. As tourist attraction pretty expensive though...
Good alternative to citytours. I suggest you to check the timetable so you don't waste time waiting for it to pass while you could be discovering some interesting venues.
If you're visiting Vienna, make sure to stop by this luxurious street. And if you don't feel like spending a couple g's at Tiffany's, at least do some window shopping! lol
