By far the coolest church in all of Europe! Definitely not typical both in the way that it looks and the fact that they're actually working on it. Take a guided tour at the very least for the outside

Apparently you now have to pay admission into the (public) park. And they only sell tickets for certain time slots, so make sure you book a bit in advance like a couple hours or even the day before.
Very cool lookout point from within Park Guell over all of Barcelona. And it's in the free part of the park!
Even better lookout over the whole city. Kinda off the beaten path and takes a bit longer to get to, but totally worth it. Pro-tip buy a can of beer for 1€ from the dudes selling them out of coolers

Kinda the place to be. Basically the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Barcelona and right in the middle of the old city center.
It's most definitely a hostel. But price and location are hard to beat.
Best. Park. Ever. Literally went here like 3 times over 3 days. They've got water features, flowers, greenhouse, fancy building, fancy statues, and even a woolly mammoth. What more could you ask for!
Basically like my all time favorite water feature. It's inside the Parc de la Ciutadella.
Apparently it's free to get in if you go after 6pm... Although I wasn't so enthralled that I actually came back later that evening.
Never actually been inside, but there must be something to it if it's a giant palace behind the magic fountains.
If you're into architecture, I guess it's a big deal. But for the rest of us, it's just the "ticket booth for the big palace".
Really cool park behind the palace where the magic fountains are. Definitely quite a hike to get there. Or take hop-on hop-off bus tour ;)
A bit underwhelming to be honest, but cool that you can walk right into the stadium.
Now this is where you go if you want to get to the water. Huge beach, really quite long and cool to either chill at, go swimming, or just for a stroll.
Kind of a must if you're going to Barcelona, even if you aren't a huge soccer fan. They've got a nice museum about FC Barcelona that's got some cool exhibits and is interesting for everyone.
Sort of the main modern plaza in the old city center. Cool to walk around in, also where Gaudi walking tours often start, but otherwise a little bit too touristy. Especially the restaurants.
Gaudi Tour stop #2. Apparently you can go inside and it's quite cool, but also a bit expensive. The view from outside is cool too.

Former open market that they've turned into an archeology site. Very cool information on the War of Spanish Succession.
Also a bit touristy. And you're paying more for the view than the food, but the paella here is also great.
Absolutely awesome breakfast place in the old city center! Nice and cozy, which also means kinda small. Be prepared to wait by getting coffee from the cafe across the street.
Great little cafe/bar in the Ramblas area. Can't speak much to their absinthe, but their burgers, sandwiches, and coffee are fantastic.
Also a cool little bar in the same area, but even smaller. Almost like a sorta fancy kiosk.
