Visit San DiegoAbril 20, 2010The San Diego Astronomy Association provides free telescope viewing outdoors on the Prado in Balboa Park. This free event is held on the first Wednesday of every month (weather permitting).
One of the best IMAX® theaters here: 76-foot wraparound movie screen and 16,000 watts of digital surround sound- Free admission for San Diego County residents, as well as active military + their dependents the 1st Tuesday of each month. Be sure to bring your ID.

J. S. HuettemanJulio 1, 2014Don't bother coming on the free entry day for residents on the first Tuesday of every month. It is over crowded, no one watches their kids, and half the exhibits end up broken. Suck it up and pay.
The tinkering studio has different activities every day.
