The WNC Nature Center is a well-established zoo featuring wildlife native to the local area. The nature center is AZA accredited. Prominent exhibits include river otters, cougars, & red & gray wolves.

Beautiful facility which feels very natural for the animals in their habitats. A can't miss for your visit to Asheville.

It is a great educational experience! As you walk through each exhibit, you can lean a good bit of information about each animal in North Carolina

The otters exhibit was awesome. The otters really put on a show for everyone.

For people with kids in east Asheville - an annual membership is affordable a and great value. This place is basically like a zoo specializing in NC native animals and plants. Leer más

Come one, come all, taunt the peacock, encourage your kids to taunt the peacock, apparently it's ok by the staff....
