AD NysNoviembre 21, 2009Chimps get pretty wild and crazy around lunch feed time. Playground is good picnic spot. Bring your own snacks, concessions are nothing to Woot about.

Parking is free, and the zoo is awesome... Great place on a day like today....
Annual zoo membership is one of the best deals for families in L.A.!

Sunflowergrl AkajaniceJunio 15, 2013Today was the fundraiser. Therefore no vendors,food place closed, and guess what? There was 3 elephants and a hippo. Pretty sad now that a fundraiser is happening do we actually get to see the animals
Why isn't there any shade at the zoo? On sunny, hot days, walking around on the hot concrete is brutal!
New elephant exhibit is terrific. Located next to the giraffes.

Go when they first open. It's cooler and less crowded.

Jenny CJunio 27, 2013Worst zoo experience I ever had. Most of the exhibits were closed. Other exhibits were not laid out in a manner to where you could see the animals (I.e. tall grass and inclines)
Try and get to the Zoo in the morning when they open. The animals are not very active in the afternoon when it warms up.
