- David NicolJunio 12, 2011As with most curry houses in Sydney, hot means medium. But unlike most others the curry is excellent. My recommendation is the prawn balchao or the chicken chetinad. Call ahead for special vege orders
- Decent indian food. I really enjoyed their mallagu prawns, very good flavours. Gulab jamoon in the desserts was just perfect with the ice cream, a must try.
- JDiciembre 10, 2021Lunch thali is really good! Not shown on the QR code menu, so you’d need to ask for it. More expensive than Kammadhenu, but similar in taste
- Laura Bedson-DuqueFebrero 3, 2018Incredible food, cheese naan is delicious and the chicken curry was very light and very flavoursome. Loved it.
- Vicky MachinanNoviembre 21, 2015Fresh Indian food that won't feel heavy even after compulsively eating many naans - also best fish curry and palak paneer!
- Ben ThomasNoviembre 13, 2018Very friendly service at this cozy Darlinghurst Indian restaurant. Can't go past the Chicken Makhani with some Garlic naan.
- Jake AndrewFebrero 14, 2018Really incredible Indian food! Best I’ve had in years... or ever?! Not the touristy place I guessed by the location.
- BrendanJulio 15, 2011One of the best Curry houses in Sydney. Beware it is best to book on weekend night as it gets very busy. My favourite, Lamb Varutha.
- Yash GodboleDiciembre 13, 2014Definitely try the chicken Chettinad! But be sure they're serving the Malabar paratha on the day :)
- All about the butter chicken and beef vindaloo! Ask for spicy if you want an extra kick.
- Donagh O'KeeffeFebrero 8, 2012Don't order the goat, it's all bones & fatty pieces. Lots of work and no payoff! Order the Lamb curry (mild) it's great.
- Delivery HeroAbril 3, 2012Food at the Malabar is a real delicacy for the lovers of South Indian cuisine. Mild, Medium or Hot, delivered to your door
- Li JacksonDiciembre 28, 2011Butternut Chicken is amazing. Worth getting the banquet if there is a group of you!
- Ask for the banquet menu all you can eat mains!
- Gerry LuxJunio 17, 2010Goan Fish Curry - is the GOD of all curries. Don't touch the crunchy salad. It's the Devil.
