The downstairs is a whole lot bigger, but just as seedy. Awesome place to cruise, hang with friends, or get your dance on. Go early on the weekends, cuz' it fills up.
"Club So Gay" is arguably the most popular gay restaurant/bar/club in Beantown. Their Napoleon Room is a great dining space with live entertainment 7 nights a week.
Despite the pic, Fritz is the "sports bar" to the gay community in Boston. Pop in to watch the ballgame with your buds.
There seems to be an Eagle in every city, and there darn well should be! No frills, no pretension, cheap beer, and you don't want to use the bathroom for anything other than to pee.

Boston's infamous leather bar. Don't be scared, the staff and patrons are nice, and you won't end up collared if you don't want to be. Entry to the back room requires leather or going shirtless.
Where the bears are! The Alley is where burly and beefy gents congregate. Best nights to go are after work on Fridays, Bear Nights on Saturday, and Beareoke (karaoke) Sunday nights.

Dragalicious! Jacques is where all the fierce drag divas in Beantown play. You might have to fight a drunken bachelorette party for a seat, but it's worth it.
A little off the beaten path (the southermost part of the city), dbar has become very popular with the gays. Tip: Check out Show Tune Tuesday, a gay video night and singalong with VJ Rompy. FUN.
