Mike: I love Poor Phil's. The wait staff are mediocre as is the food. But they have the best beer list outside of Chicago. Hands down best place for a casual beer in Oak Park.

Mike: This is the best sit down Mexican restaurant on the planet. But I'm biased because I grew up on it: the chips and salsa are good and I especially like their enchiladas suizas.

Mike: The pulled pork sandwich is amazing and a lot of food. Carolina style sauce. Ribs are fall-off-the-bone. Mac & Cheese was delicious, had some pepper in it. The Brunswick stew wasn't all that great.
Mike: The beer is reasonably priced. Make sure to try their wings - they have the best sauce on the planet. I'm also a big fan of the chopped brisket and ribs. The pulled pork is good but doesn't outshine.
Mike: The brisket here is amazing. It falls apart as if it was braised in an oven but has a nice smoke ring. The mac n cheese and slaw were also spectacular. Try some of the pepper vinegar on the cornbread!

Mike: Hot dogs with mustard, onions, relish, and sport peppers. And tamales! Don't ask for ketchup, even for your fries, because they don't have any. This place is a timeless establishment for Chicago.
