Best breakfast we've found within 20mi of anywhere. The Bloody Marys are top notch and the skillets are epic. ProTip: start with the breakfast tacos as an appetizer!
You could say this place is specifically catering to Brooklyn hipsters on holiday, but - damnit - hipsters know how to brunch. Serves typical diner fare with a locally sourced lean. Not to be missed.
This is potentially the best diner I've ever been to. Definitely get fries and if chicken chili is on the menu, combine them...the kitchen won't do it in the back, but best chili cheese fries ever
A favorite with locals and visitors to Hunter mountain. Phoenicia has friendly service with classic diner menu filled with seasonal and local ingredients. The pan fried trout is one of my favorites.
No Bloody Marys served 'till noon, but when the clock strikes, hoo-doggy they are good. Miglorelli FarmTomato Juice + CatskillsPeaceVodka + some weird root thing = $8!
Everything is delicious. Kid friendly, bourbonshakes, and incredible food. Reuben was excellent, pancakes were a dream, and the kale salad was fabulous.
It is all good here, but you can't beat the wild hive polentaskillet, topped with two perfect poached eggs. A homemadeBloody Mary with local vodka doesn't hurt either.
The bloody Mary is amazing. The biscuits and gravy are amazing. The cell service on t-mobile is nonexistent and I'm pretty sure the free WiFi is a farse, but that's OK, pay attention to your friends
A real keeper. On Route 28 just south of Phoenicia, NY. Another stop on the two lane to Cooperstown. Everything is very fresh. Hardly a dinner menu. Meatloaflunch is plentiful and delish!
Fuel up for a day upstate by stopping by the Phoenicia Diner, a landmarkeatery serving “farm-to-counter” diner-style food, just off Route 28, otherwise known as the CatskillMountainsScenic Byway. Leer más
They are weird about letting you take food to go. Only can be done w/ certain items. Apparently their hot food will "melt" the container? Anyway, food is good. Try the sandwiches or watermelon salad.
If you want to avoid major crowds, go early in the morning or later in the afternoon. Avoid Sunday all together if possible - however, the food is well worth the wait. I love the omelets and skillets!
This diner is a jewel of the restaurants. Breakfast served all day. Vegetarian alternatives. Delicious food, a real american atmosphere and a friendly service.
Amazing! I hear there's always a crowd but ended up not having to wait too long for a counter seat. Chicken and waffles was some of the best I've tasted.
The food comes out quick like a typical diner but the quality and taste is way better weather you’re having breakfast or lunch! The crispy chix sammie is delicious but way too big for 1 person..share!
Biscuitsandwich is lovely .. Great baconbiscuit had maybe a pepper and rosemary hint .. Himself lived the Chorizoomelet .. Service great ! These people work hard! .. Easy choice
Chorizosandwich was a chopped up cheeseburger with taco seasoning, bread didn’t make it to the first bite and French fries were soggy. Onion rings gave me heartburn for the rest of the day, terrible.
The food is good, but a bit pricey since they focus on quality ingredients. The bourbonmilkshake was a great treat! I was a little disappointed with the service level. I felt ignored at times.
