Hubers has moved. Just down the road to much larger premises with a nice playground for kids.
Great views. There is a connector to Hort Park (and subsequently Mount Faber). The skywalk is nice but short. The skywalk after Hort park is much longer.
Try to KL style Hokkein me and/or beef ball noodles. Authentic for a modern setting, though not cheap (RM11 a plate for the Hokkein mee.)
Best elephant trekking in Phuket. Try the early morning (9am) slots to avoid the heat.
Hong Kong style chicken noodles. The wonton and dumplings are great too.
Isolated. But the resort is large, well maintained, and has many amenities. It's nice and quiet - great for relaxation and time out. You can rent a car (about 1300 baht per day), through the hotel.
On arrival, the only duty free stores after immigration sell liqueur and cosmetics.
A nice run is by the beach from the hotel north to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, then south to the end of the path (about 2 km). In the middle run along the jetty to the sea.
Pandas are the highlight. The lines for entry tickets can get long so purchase them online. You the don't have to queue.
Authentic Italian in an unassuming setting. Might be difficult to get parking during weekends.
