Chef Meg Grace brings traditional fried chicken together with modern fine dining in this NYC gastropub. Try a specialty side: baked beans and jalapeno biscuits, kale salad, or golden-brown cornbread.
The Redhead Buttermilk Fried Chicken is remarkably consistent, despite the seasonal sides. It's never greasy and never too dry—just a nearly perfect plate of fried chicken goodness. Leer más

It's Meg's insatiable buttermilk fried chicken, with its buttermilk brine and flaky crust, that keeps customers coming back. The plate comes with a side of sweet cornbread and a market green salad. Leer más
Got here after 11 only to find a late night menu. Was shocked when everything I ordered (peanuts, kale salad, chickpea fritters, chorizo flat bread) was out in 5 minutes and was fantastic

Best fried chicken. Get the pretzels with beer and cheese dip too. SO GOOD. I'm sad to leave this tip because I don't want it to get more crowded. Soundtrack is also awesome.
Fried chicken= crunchy exterior heavenly moist inside, the octopus and black eyed peas = delish, shrimp with grits = amazing! Decor = cozy, service = excellent. A must go!
Yes I know the fried chicken here has been around so long but I finally went the other night. Been kicking myself ever since...need to head back soon for more! Now I get it!!!
Come early for dinner of Bacon Peanut Brittles, Grilled Pork Belly, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and finished off with a Dark & Stormy Float. They also have a late night menu.
Some of the best fried chicken in the city and the best I've had in Manhattan. The shrimp and grits also rate a try. The chef is formerly of Commander's Palace in New Orleans so you know it's real.
tater tots are listed as an add-on to the hamburger dish, but you can also order them standalone side dish (even though it's not on the menu). and they're amazing. like little works of potato art.
You might not want to order dessert -- because delicious homemade cookies come out at the end of the meal on the house. Cookie varieties change often, but our fave by far is the chocolate.
Get the fried chicken! It's awesome! Ask for hot sauce if you like spicy! Their homemade hot sauce is ah-mazing! Too bad they only open for dinner! No delivery or take-out!
Start off with a house cocktail. Then get an ap. Menu changes often but there are favs that have stuck around like the shrimp, grits and sausage. It will not disappoint. And the tots are epic.
You MUST get the soft pretzels to start. I'm not much of a fried chicken person but it's really good. The shrimp, grits, and sausage is the entree to beat, though.
Come for the Parker House rolls, stay for the fried chicken. Honestly. The Cavatelli had too much sauce & lacked some type of flavor to cut through. Though the corn did add sweetness, it wasn't enough
Start off with one of the great house cocktails. The menu changes often so check the website. Some items stick around. Fried chicken is a crowd fav. Read reviews online.
The fried chicken is as amazing as everyone says it is. It is served with a sprightly side salad with nuts, and a cute little cushion of perfect, softly sweet cornbread.
Get the Caesar w one-eyed Susan, I tried to make it at home and can't replicate it, the way they do it is perfect! I love the buttermilk fried chicken and beef cheek w truffle vinaigrette. <3 Redhead.
