Best breakfast sandwiches on the island. I'm partial to the Sausage Scramble (eggs, chicken apple, cheddar on sliced sourdough) and the Breakino (eggs, bacon on sliced white). Skip the coffee.
The best deli (and deli sandwiches) in Alameda, hands down. You'd think that fresh, high-quality ingredients wouldn't be a rarity. At least Santoro's gets it right.
the veggie spring rolls have avocado (of which I approve). pho not quite up to par with e. oakland counterparts, but better than other "upscale" places (eg, pho 84) and certainly the best in alameda.
They do a proper lettuce-wrapped burger, if that's your thing. If it isn't, get it on a bun, then get it delivered next door to Lucky 13 while you enjoy a beer on the patio.
