Delicious. It's a really small restaurant, so I gather this is why it isn't as popular. BYOB and try the shrimp in garlic sauce. With your dessert be sure to have a warm tasty cup of Cuban coffee 😍
Gets super packed on Sunday. The churrasco w/eggs, rice, & beans were amazing. So was the stuffed French toast. Everything tasted amazing!! Idk if it helps but I am Cuban so the flavor is all there 😁
Their palomilla steak was on point along with their cheesecake surrounded with mango purée and coconut shavings. The crust was very different; sweet like caramel which worked very well w/the cheesecake
Hands down best restaurant in Hoboken, for better Cuban food that that in Cuba! Be prepared for the wait but it's worth it. Also, the best Brunch i have ever had!! Can't give a higher review.
The papa rellana was very good. You could tell the mashed potatoes were from real potatoes and not the dehydrated kind. The beef inside was also well seasoned. Ropa vieja also has an authentic taste
The food here is absolutely amazing! And it's BYOB, which makes it even better! Well worth the wait. Everything I've ever had has been a slam dunk! Not very good for groups more than 4 though.
Save this tip for Fridays. The Pescadoal Ajillo (Tilapia in Garlic Sauce) is amazing. You will leave nothing left on your place. Its on the daily special. Get it. You'll be happy that you did.
I found the service second to none, the Food is fresh as can be, the Cuban sandwiches remind me of the ones made in Union City on Bergenline Ave for the ones who remember the The Broadway Sandwich Shp
Cafe con leche. Period. My favorite spot for some fresh brewed coffee at the bar. Cozy spot for a quick pit stop to recovery from the night before. Friendly service.
Cheap and tasty. I got the "el cubano" pressed sandwich. Pulled pork, ham, pickles, and a light garlic sauce to bring out the favors. The only thing that would have made it better - extra pickles!
AuthenticCuban food, hands down. In a hurry? Grab a pressed sandwich to go. Our fave? Sandwich de Pollo. Those crispy potato sticks add just the right crunch. And save room for dessert. The flan is t
The wait is long. I waited about 30 mins on a Saturday night but it's definitely worth the wait. Order the fried yucca (best I've ever had it) and skirt steak!
Best brunch in Hoboken and Byob (head to Sparrow a few doors down first)! You can't do wrong with anything on the menu, but at least get a French toast to split.
From the outside you wouldn't know this place has some of the best food in Hoboken! I was pleasantly surprised & cleaned my plates. The plantains are delicious and the the beef empanada is amazing!
Okay so it may not be Central NJ, but it's still easier to get to than Cuba itself. Everything is amazing here,so get a bunch of appetizers to share - the shrimp ceviche and empanadas are killer!

My food came out within minutes of ordering, despite the high volume of customers during busy hours. Seating is limited - be prepare to be seated at the bar. The staff is friendly and so is the price.
