The park opened in 1971 & is the world's largest and most visited recreational resort. Walt Disney passed away before he saw his vision of Disney World completed.
Best pool ever. Heaven for kids (and parents). The big pool was remodeled in 2013: the shallow end is now a lot shallower, and fountains were added to amuse toddlers. Still plenty of swimming room.
If you get here at one of the hour quarter marks there's a little surprise for everyone in line.
Did you know you can walk from here to Magic Kingdom? It's a great way to skip crazy transportation lines.
This is a classic attraction. All of you people who complain about attractions at Disney need to just enjoy your vacation & what Walt wanted families to enjoy!
Make sure you smile during the 1st part of the ride as you’re going through the tunnel. You’ll use the picture taken here when you design your own future on the touch-screen at the end of the ride.
The front seat controls the height, the back seat controls the tilt. For 2 parent/2 child families, decide on positions ahead of time to prevent arguments.
When both sides are open, enter through the left side. It's much shorter.
Ride this ride at night. The track will be all lit up and the line will be much shorter.
Go for the middle door, and be sure to let 20-30 people in before you. That way you'll be around the middle of the theatre.

Take the time to walk through the corridor of Cinderella Castle. You’ll see five mosaic murals which tell the story of Cinderella. Not to be missed!
Opened in 1971, this is the first park built at the Disney World resort. The park opened with 23 attractions. Only 3 were unique to the park, the rest were copies of Disneyland attractions.
Take a fun climb thru s recreation of the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. There are stairs, so you'll need to park the stroller right outside.

"Peter Pan's Big Ripoff." Wait takes an hour, ride seems to last five seconds. Probably way better if you get a Fastpass and/or plan for it.
If your kids are anxious about the spookiness of Haunted Mansion point out the humorous aspects of the ride or go on Pirates of the Caribbean to prepare them.
Best to use this as you exit the Magic Kingdom and go back to the Grand Floridian or the polynesian
Although this is the most adult of the Disney resort hotels, the cast here (don't call them "staff") do everything in their power to make sure kids have a great time. Plus: two great pools!
if you time it right, you can take the ferry back during the fireworks. you can see the shapes better from afar, and it's a pretty romantic atmosphere :-) plus, the ferry is not crowded at all!
Everyone flocks to Main Street for the Spectomagic parade in the evening, but Frontierland is empty! Even at parade start time, front row seats are readily available.
Watch this Bug show for a true example of Bug life. Don't get up too early, or you'll miss the surprise at the end!
About 10 minutes before the show, watch the front of the house for Nemo swimming through the bubbles on either side of the stage and across the main title.

Fine movie, lousy attraction. Charmless, pointless attraction is boring for adults, terrifying for kids. Avoid!

Don't stop to take a photo. Hand your phone to your co-pilot and make them be the photographer instead.
The story of the older lady with the stuffed animals is sad. Seems she used to come to the hotel with her husband, he passed years ago and now she visits the hotel every single day.
This ride is not recommended for guests with a moderate to intense fear of Gary Sinise.
Located smack in the center of Epcot, this huge toy store seems to have the most options of any toy store in the park.
Say hello to Miss Lynn - aka the Teddy Bear Lady, who can be found sitting near the piano in the afternoons. A very nice person, who has become one of the staples that we look forward to seeing!!
Veggie burger is surprisingly flavorful. Side salad is fresh but you should probably ask for dressing on the side; otherwise they drown it.
There does not seem to be a central exhibit or ride here; just shops and a bar and street performers. Was hoping for something informational a la next-door "O Canada" for my 8-year-old's sake.
Don't make my mistake: There *is* a black diamond (experienced traveler) lane here at security! Use it.

The place is amazing & the view is the best in all of WDW. The creme brulee - simply delicious. Our server was incredible & didn't care that you go see WISHES. 30 min before fireworks recommended.
