They're generous with the popcorn butter at the concession stand, which is great except the paper bags don't really hold up. Keep a few napkins under there if you don't want your lap buttered.

The theater has a good incline so your view is almost never blocked. If the movie is trending definitely come at least 20 minutes before to get seats. Good concession stand too.

Such a beautiful theatre. All the good things of old timey-ness without the crappy-ness of old-timey-ness. If you've been to Angelika Cinemas in SoHo you KNOW what I'm talkin' bout.
Cheap tix in beautiful intimate spaces! Original coffered ceilings even in the smaller black boxes. But definitely see as many films in Cinema 3 which still has a beautiful proscenium.

Buy tickets online for high-demand films at peak times as they often sell out. They have kiosks that make picking up your tickets super-fast. Also, show up early for good seats.
i live in astoria, so this is quite a troop, but i must say that this is one of the best cinemas nyc has to offer. they have cheapmovie tickets. get here.

Best place to see a movie but make sure you get there early for popular shows--they sell more tickets than there are seats! I have heard the popcorn is really great too.
