If you take a photo from the observation deck, turn off your flash. The light will only bounce off the glass windows and ruin your pic. This goes for daytime and nighttime pics.

Great lunch, great view, great experience. Better than the observatory. If you go in the evening, enjoy a drink on the 96th floor.

You can't bring in outside food or drink to the observation level but they will check them for you.

Not quite as tall as Wills (aka Sears) Tower, but top floor has amazing views and fascinating display on history of Chicago.

Skip the $ fee for the observatory and go one floor up to the lounge for a $$ drink that includes the view for free! To avoid the line, tell them you have dinner reservations instead to get up faster!

They have wonderful food and drinks here, a beautiful atmosphere and a lovely view. My only complain would have to be that it is terribly expensive.
