Britain’s first escalators were installed at this famous department store in 1898. Women were offered brandy at the summit in order to calm their nerves.
Built in 1924, this was once the biggest garage in Europe, with separate lounges for owners, ladies and chauffeurs. It became a Sir Terence Conran restaurant in 1997.

Great place for lunch - business or pleasure. I have to recommend the homemade burgar and chunky chips, though the whole menu is always very tasty. Good table service and you can see the chefs cook.
Club is very trendy but the place is really tiny and music is a bit hit and miss sometimes.
