Had a very good dinner at the hotel. Pork curry was excellent, the kids meatballs were hearty and tasty and chicken schnitzel was high quality. Very friendly staff.
Good range of wooden clothing, useful local tourist information, an interesting exhibition on local wool production including the link to Zegna suits and friendly helpful staff.
Great food in a beautiful little village. We also stayed at the Lamb. The rooms were cheap and cheerful. Highly recommended.
The kids had a ball and we were there all day. The least tacky theme park in the world. An Unlimited ride ticket pays for itself after 3-4 rides (so just get it).
Quiet beautiful island. If you are in Helsinki for more than a day, don’t miss it. It is a short pleasant ferry ride from central Helsinki and the island has enough to occupy you for a few hours.
Beautiful in the late winter sunlight as it is tall enough to catch the light. Simple interior and a good place for contemplation. The stairs in front of the church are impressive.

Excellent section on the pre-history of Finland with great English descriptions of stone, bronze and Iron Age artefacts. Good section on the third floor for the kids including building a wood hut.
Great day out for the kids. Expensive but fun. Would probably walk from HarbourFront MRT on the broad walk next time rather than get the Sentosa Express.
Fabulous authentic Italian food. We had the cannoloni, lasagna and pesto chicken. All delicious. Friendly service with a cosy atmosphere. It is only small but lovely. And is open for dinner until 9
Lovely place with good food and friendly staff very willing to accommodate our two kids with half sized meals.
Great museum. Lots of stuffed animals, whale skeletons and dinosaur fossils. And all for free. There will be lots of young children so pick your time.
Massive screen. Narration will be in Swedish but you can take your own ear phones or get ear phones there to hear the commentary in English.
Excavated castle in the basement of the palace (the building there before this one) was interesting. Ticket sales close an hour before close time.
Rosetta Stone, Egyptian mummies, Elgin marbles (which are impressive whatever the controversy) and more. Even the foyer is impressive.
Good quality food given it is a high volume cafe. Meatballs and baguettes were tasty.
Sound Italian food despite the touristy crowd. Kids loved the love heart pizza. Lamb sirloin with mushroom risotto was good.
There are the must see Vermeer’s and the Nightwatch but make sure you go to the special exhibits in the basement. The family game is a good way to engage the kids in the exhibits (well some of them).
Fabulous museum with a monumental exhibit. The tour and film were both interesting. Don’t forget the lowest level for the view up to the top and the forensic examination of the bodies found on board.
Lovely place in the ground floor of the monastery. Nice place for a tea, coffee or beer with something to eat. We had a Greek plate which was delicious - a good antidote to potato dumplings and pork.
The site of a defining moment in human history. Don’t miss it. The extensive exhibition includes fascinating trial footage. Signs are in German but audio guide (included) provides the same information
Beautiful church containing the grave of Arthur Phillip, first governor of New South Wales. Phillip was a remarkable man and a pilgrimage to his modest memorial is more than worth the Bathampton toll.
