On the rare occasions you may visit Amsterdam North, go to Noorderlicht, find a spot on the terrace and order the daily special alongside a tasty beer. Enjoy the view over 'IJ.
The view is spectacular and the food is great! perfect on a sunny day to enjoy the sunset (see pics). Great new place with some good Dutch history.
Really nice place, good music, decent coffee. Large concentration of Amsterdam's hipster population are regulars. Just don't come here for the food.

Food is ok, a little pricey for what you get. Very nice staff, but slow service. However, being able to sit on the canal is an experience you can't get most places!
