Wyatt Earp lived in this hotel most of the seven years he resided in San Diego. It was rebuilt on the same plot of land where Ida Bailey's original 1880 - 1912 "cat house" once stood. Beware Room 309.

The lobby is pretty, but our room is musty and dusty. Additionally, we had to wait 45 minutes for our room even though we didn’t check in early.

You can hear every noise in the room of this hotel, like people walking above. One tip,take out or loosen the light bulbs in the bathroom at night, which keeps the fan running for background noise

Pros: rooms with balconies overlooking the courtyard. Cons: Thin walls, the smell of old furniture, mold in the bathroom, a shower head built for someone 5' tall, small rooms.
