Easiest security check in my life! No crowds, no obvious security, sign of a good trip!
Never fly out of terminal 1. This is where all air travel progress has gone to die. No pre-check, priority security, etc.
I am in a rush to catch my next flight to Charlotte

Lynette SJulio 5, 2014Extremely poorly organized for arriving intl flights. Avoid flying intl thru this airport. The passengers & workers were obviously frustrated. The way it handles intl arrivals is an embarrassment.

Starr BSeptiembre 4, 2010I must say I was discouraged after reading every ones "tips" but I got thru security in a matter of minutes. Check in on line so easy. Airport was stuffy and hot and the bathrooms were gross though
Look up when in the delta terminal. The ceiling looks like its decaying in several places.
Terminal 8's security line is crazy long Sunday afternoons.

If you request an @uber as you land, they usually have 1 waiting.

Kate N.Abril 25, 2013Be prepared to walk long distances! Worse than Ohare or Heathrow. Bring lots of $. Your flight will probably be delayed or cancelled. Unless flying international & have to leave from here, avoid JFK.
Public Address system is designed for the hard of hearing.
On Terminal 8, try the granola + light yogurt @ Europan.
If you're stuck waiting for your Jetblue flight, there are great food/drink options in terminal 5.
Rei AtirAgosto 18, 2014Try avoiding it. Any other airport in the US is preferable. The immigration lines are ridiculously long.
Run out of the plane the second the door opens. Otherwise you'll be stuck in that customs line for a long time. A very, very long time.
