Do not miss the funicular when you are in Como - the view from the top is spectacular. Note for electrical engineers: Alessandro Volta grew up in Brunate, not far from the funicular station.

Great restaurant, usually pretty crowded due to its proximity to the tower. Mostly French cuisine, excellent desserts.
We really liked this cafe - right at the corner of Piazza del Popolo; a great spot to get some rest and good food after or before venturing to Villa Borghese. Highly recommended.
