It's difficult to remember how this old converted power station used to be before the Tate moved in in 2000, so successful has it been! One of the best view of the river, and some fab modern art too.

Just one of London's great parks (we're so lucky!). Formal gardens, wild bits, horse riding, playgrounds, tennis, outdoor swimming, the Serpentine Gallery... you could easily spend a whole day here!
The Empire is London's biggest cinema and best screen. The many big film premieres it hosts are great for star spotting.
Located out in Shepherd's Bush, it's not the most central place to shop in London, but has everything you need for a whole day of shopping, eating and entertainment.
Smashing pub right on the riverside at London Bridge, just by HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge. Great for drinks whilst gazing at London's great landmarks.
Extremely popular, and rightly so! Great views from the top (on a clear day). Worth booking in advance, especially on weekends and holidays.
Still a jaw-dropping sight, even after you've seen it nearly every day! Inside it's every bit an opulent cathedral. Do go up to the Whispering Gallery!
Distinctive traditional pub, rumoured to have been the Savoy Hotel's coal cellar. Gilbert and Sullivan performed here. Head down to the basement where it's a bit quieter.

Only open for the summer season and open to the elements, but one of the most atmospheric theatres in London. The park blends into the stage, the trees are the wings, every seat is a good one.
