The Frampton Plantation was built in 1868 by John Edward Frampton, a signer of the Order of Secession. The original house was destroyed by Sherman's troops during the war.

We have portions of a set of earthworks in the backyard which was built as a secondary defense line to protect a nearby railway which took supplies from Savannah to Charleston for the Rebel forces.

This is a historical place about "Civil War". I find it interesting. Also, there are magnificent old oaks in the garden.

In reality this is just a gift shop in a rebuilt plantation house. Nice place to stop and picnic but other than that nothing special
