Go to the "new" American wing. It's beautiful, and has some interesting furniture displays, as well as several paintings by my favorite- Georgia O'Keefe

The American Wing is amazing. Plan to spend 3 hours here at minimum. 2020 is their 150th year and have many special events. Check with them on that. NicholasEnero 17, 2017Pricey but it's worth an annual visit. There is a constant rotation of galleries & so forth which makes for a different experience every time. The lectures here are sometimes interesting. Decent food.

Great place. Their modern and contemporary collection isn’t that comprehensive, and some of the exhibitions aren’t exactly “fine art” at all.
