- Maria KolakowskaAbril 18, 2014NJ transit trains have power outlets behind the seats immediately next to the stair case (only one side of the aisle), and below one of the corner seats in the in-between handicap seating areas.Votación a favor hace hace 2 semanas
- The Greyhound waiting area is where funk and stink take up residence . Also the seating area near the Dunkin Donuts has sockets on top of it. You can charge your devices there while waiting.Votación a favor hace hace 5 días
- Letty RodriguezMarzo 10, 2015Buy your tickets online on the NJTRANSIT site but don't activate until conductor gets to you!!Votación a favor hace Oct 17
- Whitney BernardJunio 30, 2013You can not understand anything being announced when at platform level with all the echoing and competing PATH announcements. You're better off just reading the monitors/signs. Good luck...
- Exit on the east side and check out the Ironbound neighborhood. Get a sub at Hero King and a pastel de nata (custard pastry) at one of the Portuguese bakeries.
- Somehow Newark Penn makes me feel a little more at home! Only downfall, unlike the MTA, nj transit don't have bums riding the express and locals.
- ThaGATANegrra: [REDACTED]Diciembre 19, 2013I did so much travelling through here going from photo shoots to writing sessions to performances and appearances. My fave place to eat here is the pizza shop near Track 1. Check the popcorn guy out!

- Cindy GormanMayo 22, 2013Really easy to figure out day 2. Fare share of visitors and sights. PATH is what we used and it worked for us! Clean and appeared to be business oriented. Only $2.50 each way.
- When the cab lets you off at 1am in the front and you need the PATH, hitail your ass to the rear of the station before you get caught slippin' This is some BS!
- Which is worse walking into the restroom, seeing a homeless guy washing his ass in the sink or the jerk in a nice clean suit standing behind him yelling for him to finish so he can wash his hands.
- If you find yourself with over 30 minute wait for a train after 7pm- head over to the market restaurant by the Hilton. Decent food, bar and you can park there for a bit.
- If you're pretty, and you have to wait for a ride in the lobby, put a bag over your head to avoid catcalls from the countless bums.
- NJ.comMarzo 23, 20115-10 min. walk to Prudential Center indoors almost all the way - follow "Gateway Center" signs - you'll use a covered walkway to get across the street from the Pru Center - food and shops on the way
- Every bum in Essex county is pan-handling here like its a job, get used to the question... Can you spare something for train fare, I'm trying to get home... Riight
- To get to Prudential at Broad St, walk through the Gateway Center (and then two blocks down Clinton St for a total stroll of around a half mile) or take the subway/light rail to Military Park.
- Chances are, to get to your nice little cul-de-sac in your quiet suburb in central Jersey, you have to go through here. Get your shots, wear protection and God speed.
- Use the Amtrak waiting room instead of the platform level when waiting for your train. Beautiful!
- If you take the Raritan Valley Line, get comfortable. You are in for a wait.
- Danny ScottenMayo 21, 2011Not a bad place @ 1:30 AM. The restrooms make me appreciate how good I've got it. Don't touch anything!
- The popcorn is delicious, freshly popped, and only $1.50 per bag. Get some and enjoy the tips while you wait for your train.
- After leaving a train it will always be a mad rush getting down the stairs to the main entrance. Instead bypass all of the madness by taking market street or Raymond blvd exits.
- edisonv 😜Noviembre 29, 2021Take the NJ Light Rail fr Newark Penn to Trenton or Long Branch or Washington to Newark Liberty Intl Airport One way fare: $10.75
- Letty RodriguezMarzo 10, 2015But ur tickets w ur smartphone online when u get on train, save the extra $5 they charge for selling them to u, but don't activate til conductor gets to you!
- Lots of transit options - NJ Transit Trains & Buses, Amtrak, PATH, Greyhound, Taxis, and Uber picks up here also. Busy station!
- The main lobby of Newark Penn Station: the stinkiest place on earth.
- Chel VFebrero 18, 2019The popcorn is great best deal in town i shoved some down my pants before i went to the devils game!
- Try to avoid the Men's room whenever one side is shut down for cleaning. It gets a bum overload and next thing you know you're rubbing elbows with two guys arguing over who can do their drugs in the s
- Whatever you do... NEVER take a train headed to NY from Track 2 unless it's an AMTRAK train. You will sit on the NJTRANSIT train for 30 mins longer no matter day or time
- Zaros is great for a quick sandwich or cup of joe...
- Smells like piss! I'd hold my bags and kept a sharp eye out on your personal belongings! Oh..... And if u dare take a nap! Keep one eye open 😜 lol just saying.
- Vegans: some clearly marked options in Chickpea
- The signage can be misleading, so you might end up on the wrong side of the street. Take a few minutes to look over the station map.
- Parece complicado maa não é, trem pra nova Iorque na Plataforma 1, siga sempre as placas de "Path" ... o trem tem um letreiro em toda sua lateral escrito world trade center, custa $ 2, 25.
- Two double cheeseburger special at McDonalds and the popcorn is that good. Plenty of officers in blue and other colors.
- PATH train currently departs from Platform H 09/2022. Follow detour signs. There is only one fare machine so load up ahead of time.
- No real amenities besides some middling architectural charm. Not unsafe but station is in poor condition and not a place for the faint of heart to spend any more time than is necessary.
- Trenton to Penn Station or World Trade Center stop here to get coffee and sweets.
- Emmanuel SimonMayo 23, 2011PATH Riders, I'm working on best PATH app ever, but need your input. Tell me how to make it perfect just for you. Take my short poll please. Awesome! http://bit.ly/transitappsurvey [click more info] Leer más
- kevin gAgosto 10, 2013If you're on the train to Manhattan, make sure you notice this is New-ARK Penn station, not NY Penn station. Wait a more stops and you'll be where you want to be.
- Liz TaylorDiciembre 12, 2013Get cash and before you arrive, buy some popcorn, then hide out in the (cash only) Blue Comet bar.

- Their is a man outside claims that he is stuck in Newark asking for money he does it almost every nite!
- Amtrak to Washington DC usually departs from track 3 or 4
- If you have time, stop and get your shoes shined and pick up a bottle of wine while you're there...
- The PATH train runs every half hour late nights, weekends and holidays. It's nothing like filling in for the 5A.M. shift and having to leave at 2, 3 in the morning because of the timing!
- Can we get free WiFi coz other stations provide it, and also a place to charge our phones laptops and IPads
