Consecrated at the turn of the 7th century AD, it’s considered the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world that remains in use in its original structure. The structure itself was built in 305 AD.
Get there before they open so you can have a few minutes to yourself around the palace. Otherwise, you’ll be fighting the crowds your entire visit.
University students are maintaining it these days and it’s in great condition. Plants are thriving!
