A full fitness consultation & exercise program– In order to know how to get where you are going, you have to have a realistic idea of where you are right now, as well as a detailed set of goals that you want to achieve from your personal training sessions. During you fitness consultation as well continually during your training, your personal trainer will evaluate your status, & set up & maintain your workout program for you. All you have to do is be willing to work hard!
The training itself– There are so many facets to health & fitness training, that it’s hard to even put together a brief list of high points. Look at the Fitness/Nutrition section of any bookstore or library & see how many books you find on nutrition, exercise, & health in general. The job of your personal trainer is to teach you everything you need to know about nutrition, exercise, & a healthy lifestyle, while at the same time explaining away the bogus myths about miracle weight loss & exercise programs.
Encouragement/Guidance/Motivation– Let’s face it, if you had the motivation and/or knowledge to work out on your own, you would be doing it already, & wouldn’t be reading this right now.
