The only thing longer than the line outside is the line for the bathroom.
The bouncer has been known to creepily caress an arm while stamping the hand in a clear abuse of a position in which he is allowed (but not required) to make physical contact.
If you're heading outside from the live room and the front room is too crowded, take the hallway to the right straight out to the street.
