Serious EatsAbril 13, 2013This slim takeout spot caters to NYU students and Indian cab drivers. The all-vegetarian food is very cheap and satisfying (try the rajma), good for late night snacks in the East Village.
$3.50 gets you a bowl of rice with a huge pile of your choice of 2 vegetables: spinach, lentils, and more. Enough for a small meal but you can opt for a bigger bowl or throw in a $1.25 samosa.

Samosa chaat. Do it. Great vegetarian Punjabi food with no pretense: heated in the microwave and handed to you. Finish the meal with some chai

Ridiculously cheap and delicious meal for $3-5. The small plate with two vegetables is plenty of food.
One of my favorite spot in my area. For $3 a small plate and $5 for a large, this place does wonders for my pockets & tastebuds. Who knew veggie can be so filling?

Everything is great here. Ask for yogurt on the side (or on top) if you want it! And the guys are so nice!

Get the small rice bowl w two vegetables for $3. It is a filling meal and tastier than an entree at a typical sit-down joint in Curry Hill- Everything you choose is so good! Add spicy sauce, yogurt and onions 👌🏿

You like spicy, eh? Crunch your way through two or three of the small green peppers from a bowl next to the microwaves and you will be flying very, very high, my friend.
