- Anthony WilliamsJunio 8, 2013Things can get too hyped in L.A., but this may be the best BBQ I've had here. Like Jonathan Gold said, it "gets the important things right, Texas-style." Owner's from Seguin, TX, knows their stuff.
- Cara RoseAbril 12, 2014If you haven't tried this place yet , shame on you! You are missing out. Always amazing food and always friendly service. The Texas Reuben is my favorite!!! Go now!
- Get the brisket - half moist, half lean. I prefer Kansas City style over Texas, but I have to say this place is some of the best BBQ you can find outside of Missouri! Which is a big deal in LA.
- Amanda NatividadAgosto 11, 2014Sorry, JGold, the brisket is decent but not the star here. Get the pastrami and pork ribs. Juicy, meaty and generally amazing.
- Justin OrdovezaNoviembre 15, 2014Good but not great barbeque. The moist brisket was too fatty with lots of gristle. The pork ribs are the way to go, nice and smokey. The hot link was also good but not terribly spicey.
- Had nearly everything on the menu now. Best bet: Moist brisket with a side of corn on the cob plus mac and cheese.
- Tyler TannerDiciembre 20, 2010The most authentic Texas BBQ since I've had since I left 20 years ago. All the way down the decor. Mostly brisket, some chicken, & black eyed peas! Alas, no Frito pie, but here's to hoping.
- Jalapeño Cheddar links are great! So is the Mac and Cheese. The Cutters Choice brisket is the best!
- Smoke City shut down nooooo I loved it, come back Smoke City!
- Tucker BarkleyAbril 1, 2012Best brisket I've had since I moved to LA from Texas. Makes me miss home.
- Eric SpiegelmanJulio 4, 2011You want the brisket. If they run out of brisket, leave, go home, cry for hours.
- Get the moist brisket or jalapeño cheddar sausage.
