A 21st century take on Catalan and Asturian classics. One of my favorites in Barcelona, and it's very well-priced for the quality/ingenuity of the food. Cannot miss the Asturian/French cheese plate.
Without question the best deal in the city. A 3,50 colossal sandwich with meat cooked to order and a comprehensive ethnic topping bar (lentils, raita, etc.) that puts Chipotle to shame.
Just thinking about the Duck Timbale again makes me want to cry tears of joy. This tiny place is a flavor kingdom and I'm its loyal serf :')
1 euro everything(?!). Not sure what kind of money laundering scheme they have going to make ends meet but I don't care, the pintxos are incredible and I can actually afford them. Ask for them heated.
This place is a bit too expensive considering the wide array of other options at its price point, but the dessert of chocolate ganache with olive oil, salt, and crostini will stay with me forever
This place is the definition of feel-good. Its 3 floors, there's cardboard lamps, the poached eggs are wonderful, and they don't judge me when I order their vermouth at 11 in the morning.
It does Brunch and it does Cake, in the most capitalized sense of the words. So good that I usually indulge in both every time I go. A must for any trip to Barcelona.
