Sam PEnero 23, 2012Be aware that the cocktails are really expensive ($12-14?). Still highly recommended though. You pay for the atmosphere. If you come on a Friday or Saturday night, make a reservation.

Nathan KingJulio 3, 2010They did a wonderful job creating a unique atmosphere through all the details. They offer a lot of drinks you don't see on menus anymore. I'd take my grandfather here if he was still alive.
Donnamarie MazzolaAgosto 4, 2013Yes, great concept & atmosphere. But, food was terrible. Crab cakes were bread patties flavored with a touch of crab. Blackened Chicken was rubbery and hot, but lacked flavor. Stick with appetizers.

LafawnduhMayo 24, 2014Bruschetta~ bad store bought crumbled goat cheese. Fig toasts- huge chunks of fig overpowering. Cool atmosphere but loud and horrible food. The Martinez cocktail was meh.
Live Jazz from 9pm-1am, $2.00 cover per person for the band.

Step back in time at The Bookstore Speakeasy: a 1920's style speakeasy. Featuring prohibition-era cocktails, craft beers, and beautifully crafted American cuisine. Live 20's and 30's jazz music is performed on several nights throughout the week in our intimate candle and oil lamp lit room.
