- Oliver LewisNoviembre 18, 2016Multiple stations ensure that food is always available. Long lines encourage as to quality--they move quickly tho. Food is great! Sandwiches or plates--either way you can't go wrong!
- Caroline LeFebrero 13, 2015Ah yes the original Halal guys, what more do you expect than perfection? They know how to make killer halal, and the sauces are out of this world!! Shredded halal is the key!
- Brandon BrowneMarzo 15, 2015I like the one of the northeast corner who allow you to put on your own sauces (so much extra white sauce). Definitely get a side of falafel as well. Great NYC experience.
- Костя ТарасовSeptiembre 9, 2013If you're like me and don't usually believe the hype, trust me - this is well worth it. The food is fucking amazing. 6$ could easily feed 2 people and a small girl. Tip: don't go easy on the sauce.
- Best place to go to for little or no lines. I avoid the other location on 53rd & 6th since there can be a line during lunch. Make sure the cart and the shirts the cooks are wearing say The Halal Guys.
- Standing in the long line is part of the experience. If you are a first timer or taking someone there for first time....do it. Don't go crazy with hot sauce but definitely try the white sauce.
- Excellent street food! Be sure to load up on extra sauce.
- EmilyJulio 11, 2016This is an awesome food stall. The portion they give you is huge! Be sure to drench it in white sauce and only use the red if you like things extremely spicy.
- Tara SuanDiciembre 5, 2013The DIY sauce station is a minefield. The red sauce is REALLY hot. If you do like I do, and cover the top of your plate with red sauce, you are seriously going to be screwed. Go easy!
- Juan BustamanteOctubre 1, 2017The best street food! Love the experience! Do not underestimate the hot sauce!
- Che FranciscoMarzo 1, 2016The Halal Guys have established themselves as one of the "staple" food to try in NY. Provides cheap, easy and delicious meal.
- Gyro sandwich was super tasty, filling and only 5 bucks. Plus, they're really efficient and the long line moves quickly.
- Best drunk food EVER! It's great! There's actually two other stands beside the original one which are own by the same owner so you don't have to wait in the ridiculously long line.
- Roger RMayo 29, 2016Best street meat in the city...the sauce is the star, but for the money there's nothing better than a mixed platter. Must stop when in NYC prepare for long lines
- Alden CatesMarzo 20, 2015Chicken over rice is delicious, ask for more salad though! Careful with the red hot sauce, it is VERY hot (but good, so add more white sauce to balance it out!)
- Zeny St GeorgeAbril 30, 2013Got the chicken and lamb over rice with extra white sauce and hot sauce. It truly is only $6!!! Really good cheap eats in NY! Glad I tried it.
- Greg WilcoxSeptiembre 17, 2013INCREDIBLE chicken over rice for $6! Do yourself a favor, go here & beware impostors! (though note that these guys have several carts, the sign at 53rd and 6th will tell you which ones are authentic).
- Scott RienbeckNoviembre 22, 2013Best Halal food you can get. I didn't even know what it was but it's delicious. Their red sauce is no joke if you can handle it spicy. A must hit food cart in NYC.
- RashaniaAgosto 1, 2017It's good if you have a late night craving .. otherwise NY have tons of good restaurants that you can set and enjoy a meal.
- Jeffrey KaoDiciembre 18, 2014If you are here because you are drunk, and your friends tell you to take a shot of the hot sauce for five bucks, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY DO IT.
- Justin OrdovezaNoviembre 9, 2014Great halal truck. The creamy sauce and spicy sauce are great. Be prepared to wait and be prepared with your order.
- Elias GerstmayrNoviembre 10, 2017Amazing food, worth queuing and eating at the street along with tourists and bankers, just loved it.
- Jouni PärssinenAgosto 20, 2014Try the mixed plate and don't be intimidated by the long line, these guys work fast. Watch out for the sauce in the bright red bottle. That stuff will kill you.
- If you know any better, you'll know the carts are all the same & if you're at the original with the Godforsaken longest line you're either: 1) A sucker 2) A tourist. Go across the street or on 52nd ✌️
- R TDiciembre 20, 2018Over rated-Prices are going up& not worth it anymore with less quantity. Chicken over rice is good with W&R sauce. shah halal food make the best halal food ( they are main in queens area)
- Ata SOctubre 10, 2016There are so many better other "chicken and rice" spots in the city, avoid this hype of once a great cart now a factory spot. Cooking everything in bulk with very little care of attention to details.
- Pile on the white sauce which is basically liquid crack and careful with the hot sauce but it's fantastic if you like it hot. Try some first then add more in!
- This place is better than 53rd and 6th!! The original halal guys are on 52nd and 6th! The godfather is on 52nd and 6th cooking up the best halal meat in the city!
- Annie NguyenDiciembre 9, 2013Know what you want before you get in line! It's like that episode of the soup nazi. They'll be annoyed if you hesitate :) Theres also 3 carts now all around the same area!
- Dang LeAgosto 13, 2014The wait is more than worth it! Big portions of gyro/chicken over rice for $6. Make sure you specify if you're ordering to-go or eating it right away. Don't go too crazy with the hot sauce...
- EvanSeptiembre 25, 2016Holy holy crap the red sauce! Blazing hot and amazingly good! White sauce is a terrific heat counterbalance!
- Marwan MzOctubre 10, 2015IF YOU ARE VISITING NYC, YOU ARE REQUESTED TO TRY THIS FOOD TRUCK. Chicken with rice over it. Do not add too much from the red sauce, you will be in trouble 😄😄😂😂
- Jennifer WuJunio 16, 2015It's definitely worth the wait in line for this reasonably priced bowl of chicken and rice goodness! The ranch sauce to top it off perfects the dish.
- İlkay CivanoğluOctubre 3, 2016New York'a gelipte Gyro yemeden dönmeyin lütfen ! Geri döndüğünüzde anlatabileceğiniz bir lezzet ve anı edineceksiniz bu güzel yemek ile birlikte. DİKKAT Ne kadar acı sevsenizde sosu abartmayın !!!!
- Julia AsakawaFebrero 25, 20177 dolars totally worth meal. Their sauces are SO good! The red one is really spicy, be careful!
- Spiros TheocharisAgosto 20, 2016The portions were ridiculously big!!! Tasty street food. Tried the chicken and gyro combo with rice!! It's really nice of you are very hungry!!
- Monica BrandesOctubre 31, 2013I love this cart. Great food and a huge serving for only $6! Chicken, rice , salad and pita bread with lots of tahini sauce and hot sauce....yummy!
- 1YearOfSingleJulio 28, 2016Money Matters! Bring cash and have it OUT and READY, including money for a drink if you want it.
- M. Silver AssociatesEnero 11, 2012It's the best - we're fans! Can we please have an iPhone app to track it down? :) There's always a line. Great after a night of drinking. To avoid long line, come around and pay $10 (it costs $5.50).
- Mo FroAbril 29, 2014Love this place! Great stop if you have folks visiting from out of town or another country. The whole experience is worth it! LOVE THE HOT SAUCE!!!!!!!
- NayDiciembre 22, 2014Cheap, mix chicken and gyro over rice hits the spot ever time! Don't fret over the long lines, it moves fast. 2 thumbs up on the hot sauce!
- DaneAgosto 17, 2015If there's a long line, it's worth checking out their other cart on the opposite corner--sometimes that line is shorter! Beware of the imitators!
- Anup ThomasEnero 13, 2013Great food, cold service, open just about every night. I always get the mixed platter, no need to complicate things with custom orders.
- BashayerMayo 12, 2014See that long line??!! The wait is well worth it. Get the gyro sandwich w/ extra hot sauce on the side if you like spicy. & it's only 6&!!
- Nando TiconDiciembre 12, 2014The white sauce is tolerable, the red one will set your soul aflame (go easy on it, really really hot!). Amazing food for amazing price!
- Noticed on my last trip to NYC that the line for this cart always stretched down the block, even late at night. So we tried the chicken on rice this trip, and now we know why the lines were so long!
