Do really come 2 hours early if you’re entering the US.
Free wifi is a win, though have to keep reconnecting on an iPhone via Safari. US pre-immigration lines can be very long, so leave plenty of time if going there.
Air Canada Cafe in Terminal 1 a peaceful place to wait... with espresso bar.

Cheez CakeJunio 7, 2013If you're flying international (terminal 1) and need to drop off your rental car you must enter through terminal 3, drop off your rental, and then take a shuttle bus to terminal 1. Good luck!- I love the new terminal. Terminal 3 is nice as well.

U.S. Customs is the bane of my existence. If you're flying to the U.S., factor in at least a good 15 minutes.
If you are going to the U.S. and don't have GOES/Nexus, plan on arriving at least 2 hours early. The US Customs preclearance takes at least an hour of queuing to go through.
Many shops quote tax free prices and then add tax on at the till without telling you

Watch out for the terror of Toronto. Short guy patrolling customs. If he catches u w ur fone he takes u out of line and makes u start over.
