It's the most outdoor nature like area without leaving the city. Unfortunately it's a "brown" lake. Gets allot of trashed washed up. It's unique by offering a walking trail around the entire lake.
One of my go-to places during the summer. I rent bikes and ride around the lake for a cheap and fun activity to do. I suggest going at sunset for a pretty view and cooler temperatures.
This 7.6 mile trail links several parks that make up the White Rock Creek Greenbelt . The trail also provides a direct connection to the Cottonwood Creek Trail and White Rock Lake.
