Best amusement park in Tennessee. Lightning rod just opened and it's the blast. Also thunderhead is perfect if you like roller coasters. Make sure to ride the train at night during Christmas
Buy your parking online in advance to save time at the entrance. We got the Preferred online in advance and they direct you to the Preferred Lot, which has a separate entrance gate to the park.
Considered by many as the most family-friendly amusement park outside of Walt Disney World. This world-class theme park has a little bit of everything for everybody! Great service and great times!
Great ride. Don't miss the hidden gem of the park, Blazing Fury. Combination dark ride and indoor coaster, its old but it's awesome. Currently running a Christmas theme overlay.
Went on a Friday during the school year, didn’t wait for any of the rides or to get into the park. The park is clean, disability friendly, and everyone was very friendly. Get the cinnamon bread!
What’s not to love? It gets very crowded on weekends but the shows are very good and the rides as well. The park is expanding but could use some updating on preexisting areas.
Nice weekend day in December? Remember that everyone else in the area thinks so too. Pick a cold, breezy day if you want to avoid the crowds. Dress warmly.
A very family friendly place to visit. There are many new rides with more coming. Get the Gold Pass. It will pay for itself if you attend twice each year.
Great as always. Rainy days are the best time to go. If it is not lightning, everything is open. No waiting for any of the rides! We got front seat in everything we went on including Wild Eagle!
Lightning Rod is the best! Zero to 45mph on the 20 story climb is a rush. 165' drop reaching 73mph and wide open till the end. Front seat arms up the entire way. Love that air time 😁❤️❤️❤️🤣
When buying season passes, have at least one person in your family or group get a Gold Pass. Yes its a little more but you will SAVE more than the pass cost just on food, drink and parking alone!!!!!!
Warm but great time of the year to go. Hardly any lines, july. Longest wait 25 min; Screaming Eagle only 10 min wait and A++ Ride. Was amazed at all the coasters for different levels. Will return
If you live close by, visit late in the day during the week. There will typically be less crowds and most rides and shows you can walk right on or have a very short wait.
Wild Eagle ride was great as well as Tennessee Tornado but did not enjoy Woden coaster ride as much but still fast ride. Safety first on ALL rides. Zip line was fun but only 4 zips & took time.
Find the Woodwork and Gifts. I wish I could describe where it is at...but look and ask. I bought my Mom the coolest family plaque. It has little "people" for each family member. Love it.
Park your car at Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge and take the Fun Time Trolley to Dollywood. It's 50¢ per person each way. Easier and cheaper than parking at Dollywood. Have the correct change though.
Dollywood is amazing. It is one of the nicest, if not the nicest amusement park that I've ever been too. The lines weren't too bad compared to grander amusement parks such as DisneyWorld & Cedar Point
Stop by the Q2Q by the fountain and get the kids measured. They get a colored band that corresponds with the rides, so you can plan your day and fit more in!
Save $7.50 on parking by riding the trolley to Dollywood. Great way to save money and time. You won't have to pay to park and you will not have to wait in line to exit the park at the end of your vi
Don't try to be a hero on hot days - take care of yourself. All food service locations offer free cups of water so stay hydrated! It'll make a difference!
Wear super comfyshoes!!! The park is built on a mountain, a lot of ups & downs & the ground changes constantly!!! Save your feet!!! Choose comfort over fashion when coming here!!
