Street style griot came with plantains. Huge for "snack". Porkcrispy & tasty. Good cut - tender with some sweet fat. Plantains super crispy, flavorful seasoning. Grilled onions & peppers very tasty.
The macaroni was rich with a crispy topping & a creamy, cheesey sauce. It used macaroni & penne which was nice variety. Relatively speaking it wasn't as big as the griot.
It's getting mixed reviews but you know everyone will still go because this is Jen Agg and she's Toronto's resto-darling. Trinity Bellwoods' Rhum Corner delivers Haitian nostalgic food with a twist.
