Jennifer ParkerMarzo 12, 2012I love this cafe. The food is fresh and the market in the back has a fabulous wine selection at reasonable prices. They are a full service market - just what we need in the hood!
I love this spot. Could use more hot food items though. Also, the lady during the day at the sandwich counter doesn't speak a lick of english and screws my orders up most of the time. Good beer 2!
Much nicer than it looks from the outside. Great beer selection and a lot of good food finds.

Arif AnwarJulio 25, 2010As the others have said, the Southwest DC is the jewel in the crown of uniformly excellent sandwiches here.
Just because they are open doesn't mean they will serve food.. Because they stop serving sandwiches at 7pm. Awesome service all other hours.

I hate to pull the race card. But the staff seem to not care about black people. Sad thing is.. They are Ethiopian! !!
