Yankee Pier claims to fly in its seafood twice daily. Lobster, crab, and chowder can be found on the menu, as well as the "All-at-Once Speedee Meal"—perfect for those rushing to a connecting flight.
Very pleasantly surprised with this airportdiner - great breakfast, attentive & friendly service, they make an early morning flight seem tolerable - indeed, desirable! Will definitely comeback.
1) Maila is a spectacular waitress! 2) We go out of our way to schedule flights so we can have breakfast here (the Tillamook cheddar and chiveomelette, with fresh dungeness crab if you prefer).
Stopped in for breakfast before my flight. Got the Greek Omelet--fluffy omelet, potatoes & toast. Potatoes were a bit plain but fine, rest was quite tasty. Service was excellent--quick tea refills!
This is the place to eat if you're on your way thru SFO: tasty menu complies with Monterey AquariumSeafood Watch. Try the steelhead salmon salad with an Anchor Steamon tap.
Priority pass now accepted, but they do have a period of time between breakfast and lunch (around 1030 to 11am) where they are closed and only serve items at the bar like clam chowder or drinks.
Served by Emilo & Maila this AM. As previous commenters pointed out, both were phenomenal: attentive service calibrated to the morning flyer. Wish some high end restaurants I've been had this. Kudos.
Probably my best airport food experience to date, which isn't saying too much. Steak and Eggs was surprisingly really well cooked... Could've used more seasoning, but again, expectations were exceeded
Far exceeded my airportrestaurant expectations. Watched the chef from behind the bar and he was into it with intensity. And it showed, dinner was fantastic.
I've had to eat at many airports and this restaurant is actually edible and more satisfying than most. Definitely eat here if you had a choice and a delay. Which is likely...
Clam chowder is loaded with veggies and clam bits. Makes it worth the price. Consistency is more watery than I'm used to but doesn't mean it's bland. One negative - A bit too much pepper for my taste.
Fantastic customer service. I was quite disappointed in the food when it arrived due to my expectations being off, as well as the limited options but the waitress handled the situation superbly.
Before people really demanded good food in airports, this was my “go to” at SFO. That statement doesn’t say much for this place any more. Over cooked eggs. Watery coffee — at least it’s hot.
A casual drop-in dining restaurant in the style of an updated New England seafood house, offering a seasonal menu of the freshest seafood from coast to coast, flown in twice daily. Yankee Pier features local produce, housemade desserts and a selection of all-American wines and beer.
