Huge portions! Ribs very nicely done - tender and juicy, well seasoned. Garlic butter went very well with a splash of barbecue sauce.
Good atmosphere at the Dam on a Saturday - “protesters” mingled with evangelists, pigeons, food carts etc. made for an interesting mix.
Not the best brewery tour (it’s more a small museum, some disco “ride”, and games revolving around Heineken sports sponsorship) but at least I get to pay a small amount for a personalised bottle!
The self-guided tour is easy to use and very informative. You can literally smell the history here. Impressive architecture and organ.
Dutch pancakes! Had the bacon, red onions, mushroom and cheese one which was really yummy and aromatic. Tad oily but it’s ok!
Ask for taste of the sauce if you don’t know what to get (if not too crowded). Great crispy fries and frikandels here. Would buy again!
Buy tickets in advance, slots are timed. The Girl with a Pearl Earring and the Rembrandts make the price worth it but the other pieces are great too!
Kimchi pancakes come in small sizes, tell the staff how many pieces you want. BBQ soy pork collar, kimchi soup, japchae, fried boneless chicken make for a super hearty meal. Yum!
Steaks served fast, well-seasoned, reasonably priced. Order at the counter first when enter before being seated.
10 local brews on tap and jap-sg fusion food. Laksa pizza and ramen were really good. Also tried WANI, the gobo sticks, truffle fries and pork katsu sticks. Great comfort food and cheery staff.
Cool little place to roam around. There are live archaeological dig sites here and a falconry.
The Long Room is just wow and breathtaking.
Castle grounds are vast - can spend a whole day hiking around here! Was nice climbing around the various parts of the ruins to see how life was like in the old days.
Was looking for something to do during a storm and this place did not disappoint with the Battle of Waterloo exhibit and the make your own workshop. Highly recommended!
Newly refurbished, great interactive exhibits and lots to learn. Really appreciate the thought that went into curating the exhibition.

Crazy queue but crazy good. Get the variety set if you want to share. Crunchy seaweed, fluffy rice, fragrant spam and egg all rolled into one delicious meal.
Yummo ice cream! Homegrown okinawan brand - try the purple sweet potato soft serve!
English menus and don’t forget to select normal table if you can’t sit at the tatami. Rather good Japanese family restaurant food and popular with locals.
