It has great espresso drinks, its open decent hours, there is plenty of space & lighting, and the music is at a decent volume. I couldn't ask for anything more from a good neighborhood coffee house!

On a warm day, get a maple cold brew. On a chilly day, get a Nutella mocha. And pick up vegan baked goods from Sticky Fingers no matter what. The iced coffee on nitro is the smoothest I've ever had and their seasonal drinks, weird as they may sound, are spot on. Love the mint cold brew. Trust.
tracefactSeptiembre 26, 2014It smells buttery and delicious in here! Biscuits were pretty good and the Nutella mocha was yummy. Glad to have Compass in the neighbourhood. AND they spelled my name right. Your move, Starbucks.
Love this place! The staff is incredibly nice and real. Coffee is delicious and locally roasted. Wifi is free and beans are great for home brews.
So much to like here. If you sit at the back, you can see some roasting operations in action. If you sit at the front, you can people watch the street.
SarahMarzo 8, 2018Their hot chocolate is light but surprisingly good , their coffee is a a bit strong to me , you will be surrounded by students and young professions doing their work😂- Best chai in DC, hands down. Their chocolate chip cookies are killer, too.
Veteran owned, 30% police/fire/military discount. Oh, and the coffee's great too. Small amount of outdoor seating is a bonus.

Really spacious. But if you're riding solo, grab a bar stool, not a table.
