- If you have a long layover after midnight— make the way to Terminal E. Every other terminal isn't worth attempting to sleep for your layover. I've tried.
- Lots of flights. It's a huge place but works for me.
- Harlon's BBQ in terminal C. Try the loaded baked potato with chopped brisket.
- Get the breakfast tacos or burrito at panchitos in terminal B. Ask for it fiesta style and they'll throw on sauteed peppers and onions, no extra charge!
- In baggage claim A/B: the screen above the desk at the bottom of the escalators will tell you which carousel your luggage is on.
- Sarah HensonSeptiembre 12, 2011Bring snacks if you have a short layover. All of the good food is in the center and quite a hike from the terminals.
- If you need a cappuccino in terminal C, the Starbucks are at C23 & C33.
- Mary CoonsDiciembre 19, 2014The Largest #BrooksBrothers store I've ever seen is in Terminal C- they have everything!
- Janelle WilsonMarzo 21, 2013If you like secondhand smoke hang out in the women's restroom across from gate c31, you'll get your buzz!
- Access to A gates on both sides of the terminal! Don't go to the wrong security line! If you do, there is a walkway to the other side past security though!
- AdrienneEnero 26, 2012Travel a lot and deal with "normal" air travel problems often but I will avoid IAH always (awful layout, long lines for help, of course humid and, though friendly and caring, no REAL help given).
- Terminal B is easy going. Nit many food options but is not crazy crowded and consider it’s summer it went well at least this time.
- Sometimes, an elite security checkpoint is open on second floor of terminal C. But not after 4pm on thursdays, as I and 100 of my closest friends just found out.
- Free wifi and more dining choices than most other large airports.
- If you have a long layover and you're in the C terminal, make sure to bring a book. The WiFi is AWFUL!
- Go with 3 hours prior to your flight departure. Worst case scenario you’ll enjoy the amenities that IAH can offer.
- I enjoy that 60% of these comments involve the airlines directly and have nothing to do with the airport.
- Third Bar in Terminal B. Grapefruit marg. Do it.
- Erincik EdgüSeptiembre 22, 2014Not amusing. Limited cafés, below average duty free with limited variety of souvenirs and etc. Announcers mumble not aware this is an international airport and not everyone is Texas born. Free WiFi.
- Once you're past security you can ride the terminalink to other areas with better food, so get here early if you're hungry.
- Terry SextonAbril 25, 2014Decent airport, just not smoker friendly. Terminal E has a great little sports bar to enjoy food and drinks at.
- Shanna ToftAbril 15, 2013TSA lady checked my hair (already down). I was like, "O...kay?" TSA guy in front of me responded, "Don't worry, you were very good." LOL! They must have been bored!
- Why is this airport so far! Spend time in the renovated Terminal C. It's a large airport, it really needs more walking escalators.
- Absolute hell getting an Uber to leave this airport
- Andrew HealanMarzo 14, 2016brush your hair before you get off the plane because customs takes your picture
- Jacqueline LawsonAbril 15, 2013If you're a non-rev trying to get to Dallas from Miami on the weekend or Monday, its better to fly to Houston then head to Dallas
- Scott KryderAbril 13, 2013It's all about Shipleys donuts off the concourse B rotunda. Best damn donuts.
- If you have a connection, take your time, this airport is really enormous!!
- Designer stores, designer "street" food. Check-ins complaining about not being in 1st class. It's like the airport expects only wealthy people.
- Take a small stock card that reminds you where you parked. Huge after renovation in Terminal C.
- DanielleAbril 13, 2012Watch out for the people carts! There everywhere and I'm pretty sure they get points for nicking ankles, breaking toes and knock downs.
- There are no maps anywhere in terminal C. You'll want to look online for the list of food options.
- Come for the airplanes, stay for the corn dogs. Try the bacon wrapped corndog at urban cafe in terminal A.
- Paul AdrianzenMarzo 5, 2012Real Food Restaurant serves up pretty good food and 1 order is more than enough for 2 people
- Whoever designed the rental car center to be separate from the airport and only reachable by sporadic shuttles should be shot.
- If traveling with an unaccompanied minor on United, be sure to come an hour early.
