This is my favorite airport! It's smoker friendly and has smoke rooms in all concourses except D. Concourse C is being remodeled so it's hard to get around and all torn up.
Best large airport in the country. Clean, friendly staff, TSA moves lightening fast and plenty of great places to eat. As big as the airport is it's very easy to get around. No complaints!
GetApp.AtlantaAirport.Taxi ~ Appointment.AtlantaAirport.Taxi ~~ Fighting to make getting a taxi at the Atlanta Airport right. Lost&Found at airport phone number at TaxiTappAtlanta.Com , behind United.
If you are going to eat in terminal Dont eat at the food court! GO TO PF CHANG'S! Soooo worth it. Not expensive, SUPER fast and so much nicer to sit in a restaurant. 11 for chicken lo Mien, 10 for veg
If you're planning on parking here for an extended period of time during the busy holidays, be aware that economy parking can (and will) fill up - forcing you to pay ~$20 per day for regular parking.
If you arrive by charter bus, take advantage of the lower level ticketing, especially for Delta. It can alleviate the pressure of waiting at the large Delta ticketing counters, which can get busy.
Start your day with a jamba juice in the t concourse. They don't open until 7am though so you might have to settle for some steel cut oats from the corner bakery if your flight leaves too early.
I like to do to the airport I like the newspaper stand W Smith I like the food the drinks they have a variety of things you can do while you're waiting on your plane.
First time through Atlanta and contrary to the tip. Not the friendliest airport. TSA has serious attitude. Glad I’m on my way to PDX which is the best airport in America
I drop my son off each day it tends to be a headache do to all the construction going on that causes a little more congestion than usual. So come with patiences when dropping off and picking up.
For as busy as this place is, things move smoothly. I was surprised they only had one scanner going at the south TSA, but it moved. The trains are great once you get used to them.
If there's a foodie in you, make your way to One Flew South in Terminal E. When you're there, try the orange truce cocktail and the pulled duck sandwich.
If you have time, walk between terminals instead of using the tram. There are several beautiful art installations! today between the main Terminal and A there are awesome stone carvings from Zimbabwe
If you are flying Delta, Nick S will be able to help you become an international points traveler. And be sure to check your connections before you land so you don’t miss them.
Don't pay and park at the airport. Google discountparkingairport atl, check out Global Parking. You can pay about $3/day, includes shuttle to & from hotel to airport. Great deal!
Similar to other tips, get here early. If flying early (5:30am) out of Terminal C, there is nothing open to get coffee or a snack. Have the joe at home or the hotel before coming. Safe travels!
Concourse E has a large expansive food court! Delta is the best to fly out of Atlanta! Air Tran is a last resort if you can't get on a Deltaflight! Customs IS VERY busy!!!!
Disabled traveler here - Delta was ready, cared for me well from Philly to Fort Meyers, back again 2 weeks later - transfer @ Atlanta went smoothly..nice job Delta! Thanks - we'll fly together again!

Park at the "Parking Spot 2" so they can was and wax your car. Then get a free shuttle to you terminal. If you park here you get a free coupon for a wash so you can use it in your return …
If you are flying international the customs section is incredible. They have a ton of the digital customs machines so no waiting in long lines and missing connections!
Here for a connecting flight? Get ready for a walk (or a run). These concourses are LONG, so be sure to stretch your calves before your mad dash to the gate.
It’s a big airport, so lots of food options. It is worth it to get TSA Precheck or Clear if you live in Atlanta and/or travel through this airport often.
If you have the time, walk instead of taking the tram and check out the exhibits. The Walk Through Atlanta History and the stone sculptures from Zimbabwe were pretty cool.
Check out One Flew South in Terminal E for the best food and ExpressSpa in Terminal A for great pedicures. Don't be fooled by the Chick-Fil-A in Terminal C... it's a tiny kiosk with only sandwiches :(
If you fly Delta and miss your flight, there’s a live Delta Help Desk on your concourse + phones you can pick up that automatically ring direct to a rep who can reschedule you.
When TSA says get here 3-5 hours in advance, you better bet your hiney you need at least 3. It IS the busiest airport in the world. Keep that in mind. But overall, it's fairlyorganized!
I’m hoping it’s an off day at ATL because I’ve never seen gate agents and TSA so cranky. Even TSA pre check required shoe removal. Looking at a lot of travelers, I would probably be cranky too 😂
One of the busiest airports. Really nice terminals just cross your fingers that there are no terminal changes as it can take a while to go between them
TSA TIP #3 Remove your laptop(s) and shoes/belts while waiting in line for the x-ray machines and carry them in your hands to be ready for the bins, remember laptops are placed in a bin by itself.
Head over to gate C45 for a fresh squeezed juice or a wheat grass shot. I flew through Atlanta just to stop by this place! It's called Fresh healthy café
Buckhead Books/Intermezzo Cafe in the center of the B gates is a refreshingly non-airporty Vienna style café. Find good food on real plates, tinkling jazz, full cocktail/coffee bars, veggie options.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport proudly bears the distinction of being the world’s busiest and most efficient airport and has served as a valuable hub connecting various cities and countries around the globe.
