For those of us that want to eat healthy between flights by not blowing our calorie count, I found that the little coffee shops here have great fruit:). Look past the sweets. You can do it!
BIG airport - remember to leave time to catch the shuttle train to the relevant departure gates and grab a shitty luke warm coffee on route to your departure gate
Get Free Wi-Fi. Get close to a Delta SkyClub and wait there for your next plane enough time as to not lose your flight. The network is Tmobile and is complimentary. Enjoy it
The finest food in the ATL airport is "One Flew South" at Concourse E. If you have at least a 90 minute layover, take the train here to get some sushi and gourmet food.
The shuttle trains move super fast so make sure to hold on to something! There is nothing to hold onto if you're in the middle of the car and it's really crowded (which it often is).
Hartsfield can be busy but you can catch a flight to anywhere. The layout is logical (for a big airport). If you have to wait more than 2 hours for your flight/connection, have a few drinks, it helps.
This is just a glorified-but-awful mall. Avoid connecting here or at least have a long connection time, as it's quite time-consuming to take the train between terminals.
If your picking someone up from the airport goto the cellphone lot and watch the planes take off and land if you got kids bring em, Planes are right in your face!!

Allow plenty of time to get to your terminal! Security had only one line open and a very long line of people waiting. Easy to get lost and not easy to navigate!
Always try to do the curb side check-in, even if you're only checking your luggage, it saves you a ton of time than going inside to join the line and the porters are super friendly
I know Starbucks is in C at the top left when you get off the escalator. Terminal F has some great restaurants like PF Changs and more if you have the time.
Spend your layover eating at Paschal's and reading about the civil rights movement and Dr. King. This airport has done a great job of honoring Atlanta's greatest citizen.
Free WiFi everywhere and lots of power plugs for long scales (mine was 9 hours). There are always gates with no departures scheduled, so you can rest there.
No monitors when coming up escalators from the tram. Instead you need to walk 1/4 mile before seeing one to find out that you walked in the wrong direction. Genius award for design!
Absolutely great choices of restaurants and shops. TSA staff are on a serious power trip. Are they apart of the FBI or CIA or something? Customer service training is needed for this crew.
One Flew South is a gem. Worth the trip to concourse E if you have the time. Worth the price ($$$) too if you're into food. Arugula salad light and refreshing. Chicken was delicious too.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport proudly bears the distinction of being the world’s busiest and most efficient airport and has served as a valuable hub connecting various cities and countries around the globe.
