Best airport for hipsters - you simply can't beat a $25, 15-minute cab ride from Williamsburg.
Best DelegateSeptiembre 6, 2011No direct subway line into the city. Recommend taking a shuttle bus that takes you to midtown. Also, you can consider sharing a cab, but lines may be long.
If you're returning a rental car better plan a lot of extra time. Need to take 2 busses and then walk quite a bit, especially if you're going to terminal D.
There aren't many food options in the AA terminal, but Healthy Gourmet has good French press coffee and egg white flatbread sandwiches.
If you're not eating carbs, your best options are some of the pre-made salads at various food spots.
A cab from the city to LGA or vice versa should run about $36. Don't go for the smooth talking curbside attendants trying to get you into the city for $65. Scammy

Daniel M.Agosto 13, 2012If you're flying on Southwest, be advised they do not assign seats. Head directly toward the middle of the aircraft and grab an emergency exit row. This way you're guaranteed an aisle or window seat.

If you land here during the middle of the day, and take a $25-35 dollar cab instead of the $2.25 M60 Bus to Manhattan, you, sir or madam, are a chump, and deserve to lose your money.

Terminal B is brand new - definitely save room for Shake Shack
So you are hungry. Enough to trick yourself that Cosi's isn't as bad as last thought. STOP! You are better than microwaved tuna sanga on ancient bread. Thats right, keep walking. Don't look back.
One mile of walking from Terminal B entrance to JetBlue’s first gate. Looks nice but much of this waste is mall shops & mediocre food. Renovation should have included public transportation. Grade: D-
There’s free WiFi. Refill your bottles at the water fountains/water stations.

Vivek GuptaNoviembre 3, 2013The coffee shop in the Terminal B food court is open 24hrs in case you need it.. but it's pricey - $4 for a bottle of water. Take the free shuttle to get between the terminals.
I love you, New York, but your airport is an absolute hole. Sad, but true.
Laur Lo SkiNoviembre 25, 2014They've really improved LGA since I've flown out of there last! It looks very nice. Baggage claim however is still slow as hell! They do check your baggage claim slips now which is an improvement
Larisa GrollemondAgosto 13, 2016Terminal D is the best option for dining, but there's a reason LGA is widely despised among travelers. Plan to leave ASAP.
I have more places to sit, eat, pee & feel air conditioning in my house than the entire @SouthwestAir terminal here.
If there's a chance that the sky's are going to be cloudy. Expect delays. Also well past the time to upgrade the terminal
Rafael AlencarJulio 24, 2013If you are traveling alone and want to go to Manhattan get the Airporter bus, it's only $13, can pay with cash, credit card and debit!
Get here early! Traffic is awful- took me over an hour to go from Roosevelt Ave/74ave to the airport on the SBS bus.
Transferring on the shuttle bus from one gate to the next a a hassle, especially given the fact that boarding to the bus platform requires you to use steep stairs.
The new terminal is just a delight. There are more food options at the gates after the food court.
Very impressed with the new Delta Terminal. Plenty of seats and electrical outlets. Free iPads to use while you wait and decent food options. Makes delays less aggravating.

If you need a taxi when arriving at Terminal D, you’ll need to take a taxi shuttle bus to where the taxis are waiting. Due to construction, taxis are picking up outside of the airport.
Like craft beer? Best place is right next to security line by terminal C, not much else... And be nice to the staff, everybody vents on them
A once cruddy airport is now an absolute gem
Leaves top and bottom of the hour. $10 for crew members $12 for everyone else. Free wifi. Cheap way to get from one airport to the other
Get the garlic & eggplant chicken at the Chinese place in Terminal C. It's the best Chinese in New York
Lines for the taxis are horrendous. Boyfriend suggested Uber, SO convenient &quick! Download the app& use the promo code ds89j, & it credits you $20 to use towards your fare, so cheaper than cab, too
Best to fly in here if you live in Brooklyn or queens

If you ar flying make sure you go to the right terminal if ur going to boston, DC or Chicago ur likely on Delta shuttle which is marne terminal A if u screwed up there is a shuttle bus...
I can not stand this airport-B terminal in particular. Everyone is crammed in like sardines under a low ceiling-you can feel all the germs in the hot air.
This place is no different than the NY Port Authority. The only difference is that there's actually ppl telling you where to go because of TSA minimum standards.
Yes it can be very stressful here. Arrive plenty early and take advantage of enriching your cultural knowledge.
Highly recommended when looking to catch a flight. Even then that's a stretch, though. Fly on Christmas if you can its quiet and flights are on time!
I'm liking the new walkway that connects terminal D to C...very refreshing. Now time for NYPA to get the funds together for an outer facelift...especially to American's terminal.
